Girls who wear short skirts want to pick up guys and guys only want that one thing. Girls wearing makeup have issues. Boys have muscles and girls have problems, though crying is not one of them.

Those images are imposed on us by the media – particularly in pornography. In classic pornography the gender roles are set. And they do exist: girls who want soft sex, boys who brag about the girls they pick up. But maybe those boys longing for sensitivity and tenderness are just staying quiet. Maybe you don’t hear about those girls putting on makeup just for themselves because it makes them feel good. In the back and forth between our own sexuality and youporn, reality vs instagram makes us forget how to celebrate life – unique bodies, unique desires, unique preferences.

»I-object« exposes traditional role models and show that pornography is not a realistic image of sexuality in its diversity of desires and feelings. In the end you only have to please yourself!

»It is precisely with these digital camera ``games`` that the live musical dance performance will spark reflections in the Insta generation, perhaps calling into question the mobile phone productions - not through educational chatter, but through sensual experience on the stage.«

»In the production of the association Körperverstand (Steffi Jöris and Anna-Luise Braune), the gender attributes associated with stereotypical ideas are negotiated and divided: Girls cry, boys don't. Boys have muscles, girls don't, but put on makeup, boys don't need tenderness, girls are into flower sex.«

»In a wonderful way, the performance raises more questions than it answers - perhaps for everyone else too. However, it delivers a clear message at the end: My body is not your playground. I am in control of my own body. You are not in charge. The battle cry at the end is clear, courageous and self-confident, and not only relevant for 14-year-olds.«
