Markus Jakisic (* 1975) grew up in St.Pölten, Lower Austria. As a child and teenager he learned to play the piano. From 1998 to 2002 he studied jazz piano at the Vienna Conservatory with Karl-Heinz Leschanz. Since then he has been working as a freelance musician, composer and arranger in bands, theater and dance projects including the Burgtheater, Dschungel Wien, Szene Bunte Wähne, Porgy & Bess, Popfest Wien, Jazzwerkstatt Wien and many more. His concert tours took him to different countries in Europe and South America. A main focus of his work is the programming of synthesizers (analog, virtual analog, software). Since 2015 he is an active member of WERK89 and the company KÖRPERVERSTAND. TANZTHEATER WIEN (AT). He lives and works in Vienna.
